Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP)

1. Overall Description

 In your 2nd year at SBM (School of Business Management), you will get to learn and  work with your fellow classmates through the many practical units such as BSU (Business Services Units), CRMCC(Customer Relationship Management Call Centre), CHEERS convenience store, Retail stores such as SASA, Giordano, ELDC (E-learning Development Centre, CBI (Centre for Business Innovation), EMRS (Events Management Roadshow) etc. NYP is the only polytechnic which had developed this learning platform!

It will definitely be a unique experience as you will be attached to real business centres within SBM. NYP business management concentrates on practical based learning and aims to prepare and equipped their students with industry knowledge before entering the workforce. 


In addition, you can study basic foreign languages such as French, Japanese or German in your 2nd year of study. If you do not have a flair for other languages, you can also choose the option of International Cross Cultural Management and be equipped with the concepts and knowledge of the cultures of how international businessmen work and communicate with their partners from other continents.



2. BSU (Business Service Units)

BSC is a strategic business centre that provides business and support services. There will be 5 individual working teams guided with each an experienced supervisor. You will get to work on real industry clients' projects. It will be based on mystery shopping and generating reports. There will also be team-bonding activities such as "Games-Day"among the 5 teams. 










3. ELDC (E-learning development Centre)

ELDC is Nyp's own  IT-based development centre. It is currently developing fully online courses for the campus and also in areas such as retail management, personal financial projects for industry. You will get to learn the software named "Adobe CS4" and generate interesting e-learning materials. This will definitely value-add to your resume!





4. CRMCC (Call Centre)



It is run and manage by a team of experienced call-centre professionals and lecturers. It provides students with the opportunities to work in a real business environment and handle hi-technology telecommunication gadgets. You get to handle real clients' projects and gain the experience of communicating with external customers! You will get to build customer relationship skills which will value-add to your learning!


5. MSC (Marketing Services Centre) 

You will get to learn the provide customer service and learn the ropes in operations of retailing stores in Nanyang Polytechnic!  Examples of which include Cheers convenience store, Giordano and Sasa cosmetic store. If you are the one who loves to interact with people and also handle back-end stocking, this stopover is the one just right for you! You will be working with your classmates and supervisor and this will help to build your interpersonal skills.
